Lance Jensen Richards is Vice President in the Office of Innovation at Kelly Services, Inc. (NASDAQ: KELYA, KELYB), a USD 5.6bn business. The Kelly Services® Office of Innovation is tasked with identifying and incubating disruptive and quantum innovations in products and services, as well as nurturing front-line innovations throughout the organization. Lance’s objectives include developing and evangelizing these initiatives and bringing HR innovation to clients—innovation needed in an HR 3.0 world. Lance also works with the various business units of KellyOCG to help architect solutions for clients with global expansion plans. Translation: he help clients cut through the workforce challenges arising from rapid globalization. Lance spends a good deal of time on thought leadership activities, whether that’s a keynote for a SHRM State Conference, a guest lecture at a university in Asia, or a workshop on globalization for a roomful of Indians. He also authors white papers on current issues affecting HR professionals. Previously based in Singapore, Lance now camps out at the World Headquarters in Detroit (Troy), Michigan, USA. Before this role, Lance was the global practice lead for the HR Consulting area of Kelly; prior to that, he was head of international HR for Kelly. Lance has spent the last 20+ years of his career focused on cross-border HR.
