About David Hyde

Owner and Principal Consultant, David Hyde and Associates

David Hyde is a security and business risk consultant, author and educator with 27 years of broad-based leadership experience. He is Principal Consultant with national security consulting firm David Hyde and Associates. In this role he is a trusted senior advisor to a number of Canada’s top corporations on operational risk and security due diligence. David served six years as Director of Corporate Security for Cadillac Fairview, a $17 billion global commercial real estate corporation. While in this role, David developed and managed the company's enterprise security and crisis management program, including corporate safe travel management.

David has a M.Sc in Security and Risk Management from the University of Leicester and is a graduate of the Security Executive Development Program at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He teaches security and crime risk management at the University of Calgary and lectures in security and business strategy at the Centre for Homeland Security and Business Resilience, The Schulich School of Business, York University.
